Can you explain the difference between vector and raster graphics?

Vector graphics are made up of mathematical paths and curves defined by points, lines, and shapes. They can be scaled indefinitely without losing quality and are ideal for logos and illustrations. Raster graphics, on the other hand, are composed of a grid of pixels and are resolution-dependent. They are better suited for photographs and images with complex color variations but may lose quality when scaled up.
